A vision of green kicked off New York's famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade yesterday when a 60-foot-tall Kermit the frog floated high above Manhattan's streets. Thousands of tourists and holiday revellers gathered to watch giant inflatable versions of their favourite characters - including Dora the Explorer, Spiderman and Father Christmas - sail along between the skyscrapers.
