May Day

Dozens of Occupy Wall Street activists spread out to protest at banks and other New York City businesses Tuesday to mark International Workers Day, or May Day.

Protesters gathered at Bryant Park in Manhattan and prepared to march to financial institutions including Chase, Citibank and Bank of America.

On the West Coast, authorities at Los Angeles International Airport had a busy day Tuesday. Not only were they dealing with airport workers picketing because of May Day, but they were also contending with heightened security because of the one-year anniversary of Osama bin Laden’s death.

Other May Day rallies included a march down Broadway in downtown L.A
