A Brooklyn couple who’s been trying to get a divorce for six years is finally getting their wish.
Simon and Chana Taub had been living in their brownstone separated by a wall that a Brooklyn judge ordered built to keep them apart. Both Taubs refused to move. The case drew numerous comparisons to the movie “The War of the Roses” with Michael Douglas.
Prior to a recent change in the law, New York state didn’t allow the speedy dissolution of a marriage without proof that one spouse was at fault. Neither of the Taubs would admit to fault.
