Mark Morris keeps coming back with the San Francisco Ballet

At 75, San Francisco Ballet is keeping a spring in its step by commissioning new dances and taking them on tour. The troupe visits the Orange County Performing Arts Center Nov. 11-16 with selections from its big New Works Festival at home, which featured pieces by the likes of Mark Morris, Jorma Elo and the company's redoubtable leader, Helgi Tomasson. Here, company members perform Christopher Wheeldon's "Within the Golden Hour."
Mark Morris has a particularly close association with San Francisco Ballet; he's been creating dances for the group for 15 years. His "Joyride" will be performed in Orange County.
