"He helps you to see sports through a different lens."

The Los Angeles Sports Museum, which opens Nov. 28, is a treasure trove of sports memorabilia that some say is the best place of its kind in the world.

Posters from sports movies cover the walls surrounding a staircase that leads to the second level of the museum founded by Gary Cypres.

The 1985 World Series trophy, won by the Kansas City Royals, is one of many baseball-related items on display.

The collection of antique football helmets shows the dramatic evolution of protective head gear.

This Honus Wagner baseball card, worth more than $2 million, is the most valuable piece in the museum.
