An art teacher who moonlighted as a 'butt-printing artist' has been fired from his school. Stephen Murmer had initially been suspended from work after a YouTube video of him appearing – in disguise – on a TV show, demonstrating how he used his buttocks for painting, was circulated amongst pupils at the school. Now, he has lost his job at Monacan High School in Virginia, after the Chesterfield County School Board unanimously voted to sack him. The video showed an appearance on the US TV show Unscrewed With Martin Sargent, in which Murmer demonstrated his bum art wearing little more than a thong and a fake nose. Murmer's technique involves coating his buttocks with paint, then pressing them on the canvas. When he requires greater detail, he uses his penis.

It's a "bum" deal, Arthur, proffering vulgarity as art, but it sometimes works.
