Adventurer with No Fear
Dean Potter -- he’s the Yosemite big wall climber who lives on the edge. He’s gone up El Cap AND Half Dome in a single day. Both of them. Yikes. National Geographic picked him as one of the 10 Adventurers of the Year in 2009.
He is also a favorite on YouTube for his wingsuit flight off the Eiger
in Switzerland. He “flew” like Batman for 2 minutes and 50
seconds. He covered about 9,000 vertical feet and soared for4 miles. If
you keep track, that makes him the longest BASE jump ever. He’s 39 and
let’s hope his machismo doesn’t get the best of him. He’s not too far
