A wondrous display by the seagulls

Today my walk down along the beach and out on the pier proved to be more scenic than usual. The many cloud formations are always interesting to see as they keep changing right before your very eyes. But today belonged to the seagulls. It was quite cool today at the pier and the fresh ocean breeze was strong enough to turn cool to frigid. It was a beautiful day to enjoy and nobody enjoyed it more than the seagulls. Windy days are always enjoyable and one of the highlights is watching the seagulls as they glide on the breeze. They seem to float effortlessly as if they were suspended on an invisible string. What made today so special was that there were so many of them gliding, floating, soaring all together like the Blue Angels except they were so low. I could almost reach up and touch some of them. There weren't quite as many as in the picture below but I counted more than 30 performers on stage together in today's truly magical show.
