OLD LADY OF THE FREEWAY
I'm not much for murals but the "Old Lady of the Freeway" created by Kent Twitchell in 1974 was memorable as it presided over the 101 Freeway in L A for years.

Hello Arthur,
You'll be very happy to know that "The Freeway Lady" painted by Kent Twitchell in 1974, will be resurrected on the west wall of VIVA Gallery (Valley Institute of Visual Art) in Sherman Oaks, CA. It will be a bit of a drive from Manhattan Beach, but well worth seeing again! The first installment should be sometime this year. Kent is asking for volunteers to help paint the flowing afghan if you care to paint a little bit of history!
