American Troops and Survivors celebrate, and reassess the impact of Osama bin Laden's demise
Since 2001, more than 1,500 Americans have died supporting the war in Afghanistan, including 161 Californians, according to military databases. Above, some of the faces of California's war dead. We are proud of them and owe them a great debt of gratitude.
