Cavallo Point, a new national park lodge near Sausalito, overlooks San Francisco Bay and is within walking distance of the Golden Gate Bridge. The resort, which includes an upscale hotel, restaurant, lounge, spa and environmental institute, opened in July.(Peter DaSilva / For The Times)

Ha! Stayed this weekend for the Museum opening! It was so close, I was really surprised. I think it was closer than the city properties. Anyhoo... dynamite property. I was really impressed. Umm... that is all. But funny to run across you. I was trying to learn more about the hotel. Cool place. Lots of history.
