New York City: The world-famous Chrysler Building on New York City's Lexington Avenue was today sold to the Dusseldorf-based company GVP. A company spokesman said they were buying the skyscraper for an investment fund. All shares will be sold to German investors. According to GVP, 828 million Deutschmarks (about $395 million U.S.) were raised for the building. Chrysler Building was previously owned by Tishman Speyer Properties.
