Halfdome is awesome as well as beautiful . . .

Halfdome can be found in Yosemite Valley . . . in fact you can't miss it. The park rangers at the Visitors Center become exasperated as visitor after visitor inquires, "What ever happened to the other half of Halfdome?" One day one of the rangers had had it with the "eternal" question, and made a great show for the curious visitor, as he went running out of the Visitors Center, threw up his hands as he gazed up at the massive dome and said, "Wow, what happened, it was there yesterday!!"Posted by Hello

Another taste of paradise . . .

Yosemite may hold a special place in the hearts of more people than any other place you could think of. It certainly won my heart. It has more beauty packed into a relatively small space than any place I know. And it's widely varied. I spent eight precious summers working in the park. In addition to the Cedars, the Jeffrey Pines, and the Giant Sequoias there are magnificent waterfalls and astounding rock formations that rise nearly a mile above the Yosemite Valley floor, some with sheer walls. There are many mountains to climb and each provides its own unique magnificent view. And if you follow the Tioga Road across the park you will cross the Sierras and along the way be treated to spectacular views, pristine lakes, lush green meadows, and hiking trails that beckon. Yes, this is a delicious taste of paradise.Posted by Hello

It's a beautiful day in Chicago . . . and we don't care who wins as long as it's the Cubs!!

Here it is . . . the most sacred and revered spot in all of baseball history . . . Wrigley Field, the home of my beloved Cubbies and the adoring fans in Chicago love them almost as much as I do. It's no accident that this ballpark is so beautiful . . . it takes alot of Ivy to soothe "the agony of defeat." For most of you this might be a bit much, but "Diehard" Cub Fans might enjoy visiting my website: http://www.homestead.com/cubbyland33/Posted by Hello

Another taste of paradise . . .

I imagine most people recognize this charming old European city because it's unforgettable. Many years ago I spent a year in this part of the world and came here often. In many areas the river bank was like a park . . . perfect for picnics and games. Of course strolling the narrow streets and visiting the small shops was a special delight . . . it was like a step back into history. A tram took me up the mountainside to visit the castle from which the view is unsurpassed. I fell in love with this place the minute I laid eyes on it. The Visitor

A man went to visit another man who was in prison. The prison guard told the man that only relatives were allowed in as visitors. The man said "Brothers and sisters I have none, but that man's father is my father's son." How were they related?? (Check Comments for the answer)

A taste of paradise . . .

Manhattan Beach is "Heaven by the Sea" and I feel very fortunate to call it home. A perfect climate for my taste with loads of fresh clean air. I walk 30 minutes daily and often I walk along the ocean and out on the pier. I find the crashing waves invigorating and the view is always inspirational. This is a place where dolphins come to play. I see them leaping out of the sea as they play their game of tag or some such game. Two days ago I saw a sea lion. He was very close to the pier and swam surprisingly close to the shore before he turned and swam under the pier and out the other side. Yes, I love Manhattan Beach . . . it truly is a taste of paradise. Posted by Hello
