German Sanchez and Ivan Garcia scooped up Mexico's first medal at the London Olympics



German Sanchez and Ivan Garcia scooped up Mexico's first medal at the London Olympics after ending behind Chinese Cao Yuan and Zhang Yanquan in the Synchronized 10m Platform final.

Sanchez and Garcia's score of 468.90 points fell significantly behind Yuan and Yanquan's 486.78 but was better than McCory and Buodia's 463.47, from USA.

According to the Huffpost, Mexico earned its 20th silver medal in its Olympic history.

The last silver medal won was in Athen's 2004 earned by Belem Guerrero and Iridia Salazar.
