Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” jacket"
The original and very famous red jacket worn by the King of Pop is going up for sale. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” jacket is expected to fetch somewhere between $200,000 and $400,000 when it goes up for sale at a Beverly Hills auction later in the month.
The jacket was given to Jackson’s long-time costume designer as a present and a portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to support the Shambala Preserve where Jackson’s own two Bengal tigers have been housed since 2006.
During the auction other Michael Jackson items will also go up for sale including his wig from the announcement for his “This is it” concert series” and the fedora and glove he wore onstage.
Also for sale is the shirt he wore in the “Scream” video and the mailbox from the home where he died in 2009.
