It was a century ago this year that Jack London completed a voyage to Hawaii, Tahiti, Polynesia, the Solomons and other Pacific islands in a boat he built. London and his wife, Charmian, wrote about their expedition and took numerous photographs along the way. Their records will be the subject of the lecture "Reconsidering the Cruise of the Snark: An Anthropologist Looks at Jack London's Adventures in the South Seas" at the Pasadena Central Library. USC's Nancy Lutkehaus, chairwoman of the university's anthropology department, will discuss. 285 E. Walnut St., Pasadena. 1-3 p.m. Free. (626) 744-4052
