Shard of Glass

Officially known as the London Bridge Tower, at 1,016 ft (310m) this is said to be Europe's tallest tower block.

Built next to London Bridge station it will includes a hotel, flats, offices, a viewing gallery and restaurants.

Designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, work is due to begin this year, to be completed by 2009.
