OC Blog compadre Gustavo Arellano says he's signed a two-book deal with Scribner, "home of Frank McCourt, Chuck Closterman and other assorted madmen":The First book will expand on his “Ask a Mexican!” column to serve as a Lonely Planet guide about Mexicans to gabachos; and the second book will be about his family’s four-generation history in Orange County coupled with a history/profile of the region he loves and loathes.
