Light, Tides and Peaks: In norway in July, the not-quite-sunset has skated along just above the horizon for a couple of lovely hours, slipping along from near-sunset directly into after-sunrise. It's well beyond "Midnight Sun" at this point, as it's about 2:00 in the morning, with the sun behind the jagged ridge, and the amazing light lingering beautifully. How can this be salt water when it looks like an alpine lake? How can this be both sunrise and sunset, and neither? Photo by fotogail
