I grew up in Illinois rooting for the Cubs. I cheered them on as they went on to win the National League Pennant in 1945 but lost in the World Series to the Detroit Tigers. In 1960, after graduating from Illinois State University I came to live in Los Angeles, California where I still reside. I'm still rooting for the Cubs and over the years have made several pilgrimages to my beloved Wrigley Field.
