It's a beautiful day in Chicago . . . and we don't care who wins as long as it's the Cubs!!
Here it is . . . the most sacred and revered spot in all of baseball history . . . Wrigley Field, the home of my beloved Cubbies and the adoring fans in Chicago love them almost as much as I do. It's no accident that this ballpark is so beautiful . . . it takes alot of Ivy to soothe "the agony of defeat." For most of you this might be a bit much, but "Diehard" Cub Fans might enjoy visiting my website: http://www.homestead.com/cubbyland33/
Great post and great picture. I grew up a Cub fan (on the South Side) because of Bert Wilson. "Hello to all the shut-ins. It's a beautiful day in Chicago . . . ." Do you remember "Miksis to Smalley to Granstand."? Not from Bert Wilson of course, but our neighborhood comment on the no hit, no field Roy Smalley. Gosh, do you remember "Handsome Ransom" and "As Sauer goes, so go the Cubs"?
