Another taste of paradise . . .
Yosemite may hold a special place in the hearts of more people than any other place you could think of. It certainly won my heart. It has more beauty packed into a relatively small space than any place I know. And it's widely varied. I spent eight precious summers working in the park. In addition to the Cedars, the Jeffrey Pines, and the Giant Sequoias there are magnificent waterfalls and astounding rock formations that rise nearly a mile above the Yosemite Valley floor, some with sheer walls. There are many mountains to climb and each provides its own unique magnificent view. And if you follow the Tioga Road across the park you will cross the Sierras and along the way be treated to spectacular views, pristine lakes, lush green meadows, and hiking trails that beckon. Yes, this is a delicious taste of paradise.
