A Toast to "Repeal Day"
Repeal Day," the 75th anniversary of the end of Prohibition, is a cause for celebration all over town and especially at the Edison. Downtown's turn-of-the-century-inspired bar will roll out a new Edison-branded bourbon, Batched Woodford Reserve, with a midnight toast and a reading from adult-beverage expert Dan Dunn. This is on top of the bar's popular "Soup Kitchen Friday" happy hour, which features 35-cent bourbon cocktails from 5 to 7 p.m. As always, the dress code is in effect (no sneakers or ripped jeans).108 W. 2nd St. Fri.
